Second Titanium Cutlery Set Prototype

After a few weeks we started realizing the drawbacks:

• The knife on the edge was not really comfortable for right-handed people.
• We had initially ignored it but pretty soon realized it’s actually pretty annoying. We realized, moving it on the other side wouldn’t really have solved the problem as left-handed people would just have had the same problem then.

What’s more, our favorite supplier partner factory started explaining that creating the molds for this type of cutlery was relatively expensive even if possible.

We all gathered together again and brainstormed again. The reviewers report was brought out again. A few other things highlighted:

<<Hey! People really really like the fact some sporks have a bottle opener on one end. It’s used as bottle opener but also as a handle of hot camping pots. Also, look: people like the metal gaps at the end of cutlery as it allows them to just string cutlery together.>>

These were all features our first prototype did not have. But our supplier factory had mold designs already done for these and was able to produce them easier. This was an advantage.

Someone said then: let’s go for absolute minimum viable product here and just bundle a bottle-opener titanium spork with a knife and let’s make it happen as the minimalist offer.
And so prototype two was alive!

This was supposed to be simply a choice of a subset from what our supplier already had available. Samples were ordered testing phase two began.
