How can one call it? Serendipity?
The same friend who first mentioned minimalism spoke to us about “sporks”. We were living in a world where they were present in many stores around us but never really paid much attention to them.
Then one day, in a store, he picks up a spork and we realize the use instantly. We were surprised to see how old the spork was. Earliest patent we found was US147119A patent from 1874!
Since then it looks like sporks have been with us and evolved slowly up to the point where today they can be bought in stores or online in many shapes and sizes. And browsing one evening we find titanium sporks. This was suddenly of great interest! It seemed to connect the interests.
One of us had a relative with a titanium insert after surgery so we knew it to be a very healthy material even if not knowing all technical details, a non-allergic material and integrating well with human physiology. We knew it to be a durable material too! So, if you’re getting something out of titanium, you’re sure to not be needing another for life! Titanium sporks just made so much sense.
